Andy Alsenas

 

AKTA Group was founded by Andy Alsenas in 2004 because he saw a need to integrate creative solutions to sales and marketing problems with the technology that was meant to solve them, but often fell short.

After earning a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering, he worked for the US Navy and for management consulting firms on radar and missile launching systems.

After earning a Master’s in Management in Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, he worked at Sara Lee Corporation at the corporate level before switching to Marketing and Business Development at Sara Lee’s Meat Group with national brands that included Jimmy Dean, Ball Park and Hillshire Farm.

He worked on new product development teams, participated in agency selection, led market research and category management initiatives and led the activation of a major Olympic sponsorship. He developed and led a new system of multi-divisional and multi-functional sales teams that called on key customers and achieved sales goals several times greater than historical growth rates.

Eventually, he left to launch a consulting practice that focused on strategic sales and marketing initiatives for clients, many of which included a critical technology function. He developed marketing and sales plans for several businesses, a plan for a major food company to re-organize multiple divisions into one organization, and he helped develop execute new product development plans for several clients.

Many of his most successful initiatives involved a combination of creative sales and marketing strategies supported by innovative technology solutions. His experience solving problems at the nexus of sales, marketing and technology led to his founding of AKTA Group and the development of the proprietary AKTAV platform.

They hold senior management positions in IT with global organizations that include a worldwide top-five hospitality company and a nonprofit fundraising organization that raises billions every year.
